| Synopsis: At the end of this unit, students will understand that poetry is an art that has not died (competing in poetry slams is a relatively new way of delivering verse). Students will also hopefully see that poetry can be fun and that it is a way to communicate with one another in an expressive way. They will examine the art of poetry by reading, writing, and performing poetry. |
