| Synopsis: Students will create a business plan and design the next big item that will sweep the nation. Students know that there is a product every year that they must have and this project will allow them to design the next big thing that everyone will want to own. Students will figure out the cost of making and mass-producing the product for one year. Groups will calculate the cost of one item, price point, profit, cost of employees making the product for 1 year, and cost of all supplies for one year. Students need to include human resources and capital resources. Students will present their plan to a panel of business owners. A web page will be created for students to share ideas and help students keep track of ideas and questions. Web page will include a ‘cloud’ of ideas, blog & videos and other multi-media presentations. |
