Synopsis: Junior High students will create a project (e.g., presentation, web page, newsletter, information brochure) using a variety of media (e.g., animations, graphs, charts, audio, graphics, video) to present content information to lower elementary students. Students will use different subject areas and each group will present the content with a different technology (tool) to research, design and communicate the project.
For Example: Students integrates the subjects of Social studies, ELA, Art, Music and Information Technology. The project involves the creation of both; group and individual hypermedia projects integrating knowledge from the five areas. In studying the Great Depression in the United States, teams of students work together on the topic, dividing the research into such areas as transportation, family life styles, clothing, art, music, and food. The students make use of a wide range of information resources and information technology tools. They learn from one another and help their teachers to learn. They present their finished products to the entire school.
